Founded in 1996, WES quickly established itself in the express mail and parcel market. Its development strategy and strong ability to adapt in a complex environment enabled the company to become a major player in the French transport industry.
2004
WES launched its “Air & Sea Freight” service by joining forces with TPF Network, an international freight forwarders network present across all five continents.
2005
One of the company’s directors was appointed to the Board of the TPF Network for a four-year term.
2006
WES became a licensed customs broker.
2009
Creation of the “Dedicated Emergency” and “Hand Carry” services to meet the urgent and highly specific requests of certain clients.
2012
The growth of the “Air & Sea Freight” division led WES to join a larger international network in order to offer more comprehensive services to its clients: WCA Family.
2012 also marked the launch of the WES PRESTIGE brand, under which the dedicated emergency service would be commercialized.
2013
WES evolved into a brand structured around three entities:
• WES EXPRESS for express shipments • WES OVERSEAS for freight forwarding • WES PRESTIGE for dedicated emergency services
2014
WES obtained Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certification. A new service was also launched: WES YACHTING. Its main activities include fiscal representation and customs clearance services.
2015
WES celebrated its first successful year of collaboration with luxury ready-to-wear and haute couture houses. Our dedicated transport service between France and Italy allows clients to organize collections and deliveries 24/7. Since 2018, this service has expanded across Europe. We also have a dedicated team of six professionals ready to take the first available flight to personally deliver urgent international shipments through our hand-carry service.
2018
WES launched its premium vehicle transport service. The company invested in secure enclosed trailers designed to transport GT, classic and competition vehicles individually across France and Europe. Its Transit & Customs department also enables WES to import and export these vehicles by air or sea freight while managing all customs formalities under its AEO certification.
2019
WES invested in digital communication and completely redesigned its website to comply with modern digital standards and regulations.
2020
Following the Covid-19 health crisis, WES supported its clients in the importation of PPE by leveraging its expertise and know-how in the fight against the pandemic.
2021
WES reaffirmed its commitment to future generations by reducing its carbon footprint through the acquisition of its first fully electric vehicle.
2023
WES won the International Award at the “Trophées du Club de l’Éco”, organized by the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) and Groupe Nice Matin.
2024
WES expanded its expertise by launching a road freight chartering service, offering clients a cost-effective solution for the transport of palletized goods and industrial equipment.
2026
WES celebrates its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of expertise in premium tailor-made transport solutions.
